من أشهر محاولات الإتيان بمثل القرآن الكريم "عرض ونقض "

أيَدَّ الله رسوله صلى الله عليه وسلم بالكثير من المعجزات الدالة على صدقه في دعواه وأنه نبي مرسل من عند الله، وجعل معجزته الخالدة الكبرى القرآن الكريم، فادعى القوم أنه صلى الله عليه وسلم يأتي به من عند نفسه، وأنه لا وحي ولا إله ولا رسالة، فدعاهم الله إلى الإتيان بمثل ما جاء به محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم طالما أنه جاء به من عند نفسه، بل أنتم أقدر منه على ذلك فهو أمي لا يقرأ ولا يكتب، وأنتم أرباب الفصاحة والبيان وفرسان الشعر والنثر والكلام، فعجزوا عن الإتيان بمثله، أو بعشر سور منه، أو بأقصر سورة منه، لكن وجد من بينهم من قبِل التحدي فحاول عابثًا أن يأتي بمثل القرآن فأساءوا إلى أنفسهم من حيث أرادوا الإحسان إليها، فصاروا سخرية للساخرين، ومثلًا للآخرين، وأضحوكة للعوام قبل البلغاء وبان سخفهم وظهر عوارهم، وحكم عليهم بالفشل والهذيان والخيبة والخسران، فألقى هذا البحث الضوء على أشهر محاولات الإتيان بمثل القرآن من خلال عرضها ونقضها، مع بيان الدوافع التي دفعت أصحابها لخوض غمار هذه التجربة التي باءت بالفشل قبل أن تبدأ
Allah supported his Messenger (PBUH) with so many miracles which are indicative of his truthfulness about his claim to prophethood. The Noble Qur'an is the greatest eternal miracle of the Prophet (PBUH). The people of the Prophet (PBUH) claimed that he himself authored the Qur'an and that there is no such thing as wahy (Revelation), God or Message. To challenge them, Allah asked them to produce something similar to what the Prophet (PBUH) brought if their claim is true. This is because in such case they are more capable to do so because while the Prophet (PBUH) was unlettered, they were renowned for rhetorical speeches and their ability to compose prose and poetry. Nevertheless, they failed to produce something similar to the Qur'an, ten chapters or even the shortest chapter thereof. Some of them accepted the challenge and attempted in vain to produce something similar to the Qur'an but they only insulted themselves by doing so. They became an object of mockery and a laughing stock even for uneducated people. Their attempts were doomed to failure. This study sheds light on and critiques the most famous attempts of these people to produce something like the Qur'an. The study also highlights the motives behind such attempts which were doomed to failure.
