اختيارات ابن النجيبين في أصول القراءات من خلال کتابه
(الدرة الفريدة في شرح القصيدة)
 
    الحمدلله وحده، والصلاة والسلام على من لانبي بعده.        وبعد:
    الاختيار يدل معناه على تقديم أحد الشيئين على الآخر، ويرادفه الانتقاء والاصطفاء، وليس معنى هذا أن يقرأ کل أحد باختيار من عنده، فالمسألة لها ضوابط وشروط، فالاختيار عند أهل الفن: "أن يعمد القارئ إلى تقديم وجه على آخر من جميع مروياته التي رواها عن أشياخه لا على سبيل التفضيل بل على سبيل التخيير أو لشيوعه في اللغة أو موافق لأفصح اللغات"؛ ولما کان للقراء اختيارات في قراءاتهم  مثل: الجعبري وابن غلبون وابن الجزري وابن النجيبين وغيرهم؛ أردتُ أن أجمع في هذا البحث اختيارات ابن النجيبين في کتابه " الدرة الفريدة في شرح القصيدة. قسم الأصول. "فعمدتُ إلى الألفاظ الصريحة التي صرَّح بها في اختياراته مثل "به آخذ، عليه الجمهور، وبه قرأت" وغير ذلک، فجاءت هذه الاختيارات في خمس وعشرين مسألة، وجميعها موافق للجمهور إلا في موضعين اثنين خالف فيها، وأيضاً علَّة اختياره إما رواية عن شيخه أبي الجود أو وجه في اللغة.
